The
flow of time, forwards and backwards – moments in between.
Unpredictable transformations in seemingly endless repetition as the
gaze searches for safe ground. Structures of past time, formed in a
constant flow, tell of emergence and decay, of origin and infinity.
This video work, conceived as a spatial installation, follows a strict formal approach. The use of an unusual, even 'inhuman' perspective serves to abstract natural processes. The movement of the waves reflects life's inherent pattern of construction and decay. Creatio continua, the concept of a continuous divine creation. The flow of images questions human positions of powerlessness in the face of time and the overwhelming power of the forces of nature in the perspective distance of the bird´s eye view.
